METASTATIC BREAST CANCER WARRIOR

Metastatic Breast Cancer Journey by Silje, Norway.

Silje discusses her Metastatic Breast Cancer Journey With MOMSHUBBUB

This photo was taken while I was on my chemo. Struggling with side effects. Juggling between cancer and motherhood, but my kids lift me up so much.

My body was beyond tired from my last pregnancy, it’s difficult to imagine how tired, my right breast still had cancer, and the chemo had started to work wonders in my body but that also meant losing my hair and so forth. If they would have found my cancer earlier (week 20), they might have recommended that I abort her to save my own life. So here I was carrying my miracle baby.

At the same time I felt such gratitude for this wonder around me. Sometimes holding on to the moment is all you want to do.

Finally getting back, I had surgery some two weeks ago. The surgery was successful and I look forward to a life of greater motions! I can’t wait to be able to go outside in the winter time without fear. I can’t wait to swim again. I’m looking forward to the little trips out with the kids without My back is getting so tired. I am looking forward to a life without a broken back. I am stronger now than I have been in many years!

Thank you for sharing your story with MOMSHUBBUB

Remember that most cancer patients don’t want to be treated differently, any love and support you provide can make a big difference. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about, BE KIND. ALWAYS .
